The International Environmental Agreements (IEA) Database Project is a comprehensive repository of international environmental agreements. Initiated in 2002 by Professor Ronald Mitchell at the University of Oregon, it is now maintained at Université Laval. The database includes over 1,100 multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs), 1,500 bilateral environmental agreements (BEAs), and more than 250 other environmental agreements.The project aims to provide detailed information on legally binding commitments among governments that focus on environmental protection. It is widely used by policymakers and researchers around the world to analyze and understand the scope and impact of these agreements.
